I would like start out by personally expressing many thanks to Cheryl Murphy and her team at CAI IL for spearheading and organizing the recent event on social media and the impact on community associations.  In addition, I would like to thank John Sebert and his team at Sebert Landscaping for hosting the event at their Plainfield facility.  I am also feeling blessed to have spoken at the event along side two other expert panelists, Kelly C. Elmore , a Principle at  Kovitz Shifrin Nesbit and Demetrio P. Cardona-Maguigad, Strategic Design Director at RedLime Studio.

The takeaway from the seminar is that social media is here to stay and WILL impact community associations more and more in the future.  As a result, it is of utmost importance for management companies and community association boards to take proactive action to minimize the inherent risks that this brings and accentuate the positive effects of this newer social phenomena.  If you like, take a few moments and watch a video that I recently created that summarized the event.  In addition, here is a link to the slides that were presented at the event: https://social-media-for-community-associations
